Are Video Games A Tool Used By Satan And Atheists To Destroy Our Children?
Martina-Werry, 2007-12-10 05:23:29
I think video games are unhealthy for children and it is created by Satan. Video games created a generation of obese, angry, antisocial, godless and atheistic children. Here are the bad things about video games:Video games cause depression and developmental problem.Video games make boys into passive consumers instead of develop their imagination.About the video games contain unhealthy, unrealistic body images of women.Playing video games only burns about 140 calories an hourAddicted parents have starved their children because they were so obsessed with a video game.Video games Impact the time children spend reading and doing homework.Video games have caused seizures, and tendonitis.People often skip work and class to play new video game.Kids exposed to violence in video games are more likely to have aggressive thoughts and behavior.Video games can become as addictive as heroin.Playing 2-7 hours daily, destroys the brains prefrontal lobes, resulting in zero beta activity.Experts found a connection between violent video games and the mass murderers at Virginia Tec.Me personally, I don't like video games because I don't want my children playing such nonsense. I don't want them to play games about witches, goblins, aliens and other godless crap like that. With this junk my children are spending less time reading the Holy Bible or praying to the lord. And to me that's bad enough and it is proof that video games are a tool of the devil. Video game companies only care about making money and they I believe most of them are in fact the worst kind of Satan-worshipers- Atheists. The most important thing is that in the end of the day you really succeeds in nothing by playing them. Thanks for reading. Amen.

In fact, the number of children comitting felonies is down 50% since the early 80's - which is when games became popular. If you can show me any scientific data to support anything you say, I will be happy to read it. But then again people like you dont believe in science.Everything you mentioned can be attributed to bad parenting. And what does atheism have to do with anything? Atheism has nothing to do with the development of video games.edit: and calling atheists devil worshippers has to be the stupidest thing I have read today. But then again its early :)

When I think about Christian radicals, and the insanely high murder rate in the US, it kind of makes me wonder if Christianity has anything to do with it. Also in many Islamic countries, there is a high rate of violence xbox360 video games. Every westernized country has violent video games, it is just the ones that have the strongest Abrahamic religions that have so much violence.

Do they love science or mystery books, or are they an 11 year old reading Anne Rice novels and the Marquis de Sade? People these days are so afraid to set limits, it's ridiculous. No.From Satan?? I grew up with video games, and now I am a totally normal, book loving, caring, connected adult. And let them know how much time they have to play, and when that time is up, get them off their butt and out in the sunshine xbox360 video games. My son also plays video games a few hours a week and is not having any of the problems you mentioned xbox360 video games. No. I think almost anything can eventually be seen as an evil, time wasting horrible influence, but it all depends on how it's used. If you buy your kid a system, let them know which games are and aren't acceptable xbox360 video games. I do think parents should definitely be aware of which games their kids are playing and what is in those games. The problem isn't the video games, it's parents who turn their kids over to them instead of actually being parents, having dinner at the dinner table, taking their kids for a walk, etc.

- Why not just throw away your tv, your oven, your refrigerator your toilet and your shower.

Satan created video games? what level of intellectual thought and century are you from? Sure video games are not the ideal constant activity for a child but how is it that it is Satan's tool? That makes zero sense... How about instead of blaming the antagonist of your fairytale try to be a better parent by teaching your kids to balance work and play... you know, so they can be a part of the real world rather than blaming their problems on some imagined villein... you know, like take responsibility for their own lives. But love the question.... seriously amusing.

- i agree video games are not great for kids, but why does that mean they came from satan (who doesn't exist, btw)?
- so with this logic, does cheese come from satan?
- like video games, it causes obesity when done in excess.
- do cars come from satan?

2007-12-10 07:06:06 Bobette-Knapenberger wrote: But if I try to teach my children (with sometimes harsh methods) I can go to jail, and that's trying to let the government raise my children. If children are playing video games 7 hours a day, there's a parent who's not parenting. Spend time with them, teach them right from wrong, teach them correct eating habits, etc. Video games did not create a "generation of obese, angry, antisocial, godless and atheistic children" as you say. Video games are made by people who like playing games and want to share with other people who also enjoy playing games. Parents did this, and it was accomplished because we live in the TV/Video game generation where it's more convenient for families to stick their kids in front of the TV to shut them up than spend time with them teaching them right from wrong, just as we seem to want schools and the government to teach our children morality and human values. There's work, and we have this and that meeting to go to, and shopping, and the house has to get cleaned some time. Like most things, it's in how you use it that a thing is good or bad. You seem to have a very warped mind and don't understand society..only your own beliefs. You learned right and wrong because your parents spelled it out to you and enforced it. I also play video games and have no criminal record. This was not, nor should it ever become, the purpose of schools and government, nor is TV meant to be a nanny to our children. We must do the same. If people skip work and class to play a game, it's not an addiction, it's a lack of discipline and responsibility. Video games are neither good or bad, a tool of the devil or a tool for God. I could go on but you seem to be one of those ignorant people that will just continue to think you're right anyways. No one ever rid themselves of a mouse by going duck hunting, and we're not going to solve the problem of video games' influence on our children (or music's or TV's) until we call it what it truly is, and that's bad parenting, lack of discipline, and lack of responsibility."the worst kind of Satan-worshipers- Atheists." But we don't really have time for this, do we? Other times I won't play at all in a week. I'm not a basket case and I was spanked not infrequently, and today, looking back, I'm glad I was because I learned. We've let society raise our children and passed the burden of raising them on to schools and other things, and it is parents who are to blame for the results. There's so much stuff that we have to do that we don't pay attention to what our children play, listen to on the radio, watch on TV, and usually don't even know who our children's friends are. Oh, no. I didn't even read all of this, but I'm going to blast it. Furthermore, the American Psychological Association does not currently qualify excessive video-gaming as an addiction. We decided that since we didn't like being disciplined when we were growing up that it should be illegal and we made it so, to the point now that if I try to discipline my child, I can go to jail for it. Just because people do things excessively doesn't mean it's an addiction; it could be, and in the case of video games very probably is, a lack of discipline. I only play at the most like 5-6 hours a week MOST. Any parent that starved their children for games obviously has mental problems..not caused by gaming. and see what a big change you'll see in the world. I am not obese, antisocial..I am atheistic but I find free thinking to be a good thing. Parents must be parents and quit listening to this malarky that the psycho-logists tell us. Instead of video games, why not spend time playing cards, dominoes, or a board game with your kids? Let's call a duck a duck and face what's really happening, because until we do we're not going to solve these problems. I am an atheist and don't worship Satan. We don't want to spank because that's negative reinforcement.
